How Power of Life Labs GmbH processes personal data collected through this website. Effective 29 September 2026.
The controller responsible for the processing described in this notice is Power of Life Labs GmbH, Oberdorfweg 9, 8704 Herrliberg, Switzerland (the “Controller”).

This notice applies to personal data collected through this website. It covers two processing activities: the submission of introductions by chefs, and the registration of interest in a city by prospective guests.
The Controller does not conclude bookings or process payments through this website. Should either be introduced, this notice will be amended before the corresponding data is collected.
Categories of data: name, electronic mail address, city, an optional link to the data subject’s work, and a free-text description submitted by the data subject.
The Controller additionally records the time of submission, the status of its internal review, and the identity of the personnel who conducted that review.
Purpose: to assess the introduction and to respond to it.
Legal basis: the processing is necessary in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract.
Access is limited to personnel of the Controller responsible for reviewing introductions.
A rate limit of three submissions per electronic mail address per hour is applied to prevent misuse of the form.
Categories of data: electronic mail address, the city specified by the data subject, the exact wording and version of the consent given, and the time at which it was given.
Purpose: to notify the data subject when the Controller commences operations in the specified city.
Legal basis: consent. Consent is obtained by affirmative action and is confirmed by a verification message sent to the address provided. No further communication is sent unless and until that confirmation is completed.
Consent may be withdrawn at any time, with effect for the future, by means of the link contained in every message sent by the Controller. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.
Registration of interest does not constitute a representation that the Controller will commence operations in the specified city or on any particular date.
Hosting: Hetzner Online GmbH, Gunzenhausen, Germany. Data is stored on servers located in Finland.
Electronic mail: METANET AG, Switzerland.
Both act as processors on the instructions of the Controller. No personal data is disclosed to any further recipient, and no personal data is sold, shared for advertising purposes, or transferred to any advertising, analytics or profiling service.
The Controller does not employ analytics, tracking, advertising or session-recording technologies of any kind.
Personal data is processed in Switzerland and in Finland. Switzerland, the European Union and the United Kingdom each recognise the others as affording an adequate level of protection for personal data. Accordingly, no additional transfer safeguards are required in respect of the transfers described in this notice.
Chef introductions are retained for the duration of the Controller’s assessment and are erased within one month of that assessment being concluded. Where a collaboration follows, the resulting records are governed by that collaboration and not by this section.
Registrations of interest are retained until the data subject withdraws consent, or until the Controller determines that it will not commence operations in the city concerned. No fixed period is specified because the purpose is not time-limited.
Following withdrawal, the Controller retains a suppression record for the sole purpose of ensuring that no further communication is sent to the address concerned.
The Controller’s application logs errors and warnings and identifies records by reference rather than by personal identifier.
The hosting infrastructure and the layer receiving requests before the application retain connection data customary to the operation of a web server, including internet protocol addresses, for a limited period and solely for the purposes of operating and securing the service.
This website sets no cookies. It stores nothing on the device of a visitor: no cookies, no local storage and no session storage. It employs no analytics, advertising or tracking technology of any kind.
For that reason this website presents no cookie banner. There is nothing for a visitor to consent to, and a request for consent to something that does not occur would be misleading.
One exception arises outside the visitor experience: a single strictly necessary cookie is set when personnel of the Controller authenticate in order to review chef introductions. It is not accessible to scripts executed in the browser and is never set for a visitor.
All fonts, images, audio and video are served from the Controller’s own infrastructure. No content is requested from a third-party server when a page is loaded, and accordingly no third party is informed of a visit to this website.
The Controller does not carry out automated decision-making producing legal effects or similarly significant effects concerning data subjects, and does not engage in profiling.
Data subjects have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether personal data concerning them is processed and, where that is the case, access to that data; to obtain rectification of inaccurate data; to obtain erasure; to obtain restriction of processing; to receive their data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to have it transmitted to another controller; and to object to processing.
Where processing is based on consent, that consent may be withdrawn at any time without giving reasons.
Requests may be submitted to hello@power-of-life-labs.com. The Controller may request information reasonably necessary to verify the identity of the requesting person.
A data subject who considers that the processing of their personal data infringes applicable law may lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.

This notice is effective as of 29 September 2026. The Controller will amend it before collecting personal data for any purpose not described above, and will publish the amended version at this address.
